This article examines the phenomenon of the 'Russian look', which became an unexpected global trend at the beginning of 2026. Based on analysis of publications in the media, on social networks, and expert commentary, the nature of this phenomenon, its cultural roots, and mechanisms of dissemination are reconstructed. Particular attention is paid to the paradoxical nature of the situation: at a time when Western countries are trying to 'cancel' Russian culture, interest in it worldwide not only does not fade but also takes on new, viral forms. Also analyzed are accompanying trends: the fashion for 'Slavic chic' in clothing, the popularity of Russian music abroad, and attempts by foreigners to master the elusive specifics of the Russian facial expression.
This article examines the complex and enduring nature of Israel's conflicts with its neighboring states and actors. Based on an analysis of historical events, political declarations, international agreements, and contemporary geopolitical analyses, the article reconstructs the multifaceted reasons behind the persistent state of war and tension. Particular attention is devoted to the foundational ideological and territorial disputes, the impact of the 1967 War, the role of the Palestinian issue, the rise of non-state actors, and the recent resurgence of the "Greater Israel" discourse. The analysis also covers the strained relations with traditional peace partners Egypt and Jordan, as well as the challenges to the Abraham Accords framework in the context of the 2023–2026 war.
In this article, the question of the causes of Jeffrey Epstein's years-long impunity, the American financier accused of organizing a network of sexual exploitation of minors, is examined. Based on an analysis of the chronology of investigations, court documents, and expert conclusions, a mechanism is reconstructed that allowed the offender to avoid real punishment for more than one and a half decades. Special attention is paid to the factors that ensured his impunity: privileged social status, ties to the elites, corrupt deals with prosecutors, and systemic deficiencies of the American justice system.
